Nick's Land Rover - Series III Rebuild

I fitted the whole of the spare mounting kit today. The central reinforcing plate I made up seems stiffer than the stadard item, so it should hold up well. It was a bit of a shame to have to fit 10 rivets through the skin to secure the frame reinforcers, but once painted I hope they won’t look too bad. They’ll look better than a bent bonnet with a fractured frame, anyway.

I also etched and painted the underside of the bonnet. I fit the Noise Killer sound proofing and it’s ready for spraying with the other panels.
