Corner Protectors/Reversing sensors
Saturday, January 7th, 2006
The holes for the reversing sensors in the corner protectors and 5mm bar have been machined. The sesors are now in the protectors and are fitted. The 2 holed bar sections will be brazed onto 30mm box tube, which will mount the other pair of sensors on the outboard sides of the rear step.
The corner protectors are for Defenders, so new holes needed drilling in the chassis and one in each protector (lower inboard bolt) to fit the different cross-member profile. The inboard feet prortude below the cross member a little, but this provides a good routing for the sensor wire and a convenient point for tieing back mudflaps when off road.
