Fitted the hinges to the bonnet with the stainless fixings. It seems that the bulkhead part of the hinges have been opened up, perhaps by the galvanising, perhaps by some previous owner being stupid. They’ll need closing up before I can fit the bonnet.
I also fitted the headlamp assemblies into the wings (using black plastic numberplate bolts, so no possibility of corrosion with the aluminium there), the headlamp surrounds and the sideligths and indicators. The plan is to get some more clear lenses to fit to the indicators in place of the orange lenses – the XS style seems more attractive to me.
