I bled the clutch and brake systems and finished the under bonnet wiring – just a few outstanding conections, additions and repairs. I also adjusted the steering box, so there’s no play anywhere in the steering system.
I then modified the new heated fuel filter housing so that the injector leak-off pipe would connect to the top well of the housing, preventing over pressurisation of the filter and lift pump. This mimicks the way it was done on the CAV filter housing, and just required drilling out and tapping the Bosch unit’s bleed screw bore.
I then fitted the sound proofing to the inside of the driver’s side wing, and fitted the dummy vent with stainless screws and attached the new whip aerial for the stereo. The wing was fitted just before play was stopped for bad light (and dinner).
