Clutch/Intake/Side Steps

air filter ductUnfortunately, the painter has only managed to prime the panels that I delivered, so the bonnet and vent flap can’t be fitted. That’s a shame, as I am planning to fit the driver’s side wing tomorrow (work and weather permitting), following bleeding the clutch.

My friend came up trumps again, and produced not only the clutch pipe – master cylinder adapter that I sheared, but also the airfilter pipe adapter that I’ve been chasing. The air intake system is now complete to the wing and requires only the addition of the Safari snorkel. Best news as that it uses standard parts throughout, with the exception of cutting down the filter housing’s legs and moving the housing’s clips, so any parts should be easy to replace if required.

IntakeHe also conjured up a good pair of Defender front steps (which will definately be needed, given the height of this vehicle). They only have a tiny amount of surface rust in a few places, but as these steps are prone to rusting, I’ll get them blasted and red leaded before painting.
