Completed Winch, Number Plate and Courtesy Lights

I also drilled the holes in the x-member for the rear corner protectors. I did a little pottering about and fitted the front door courtesy light switches to the bulkhead door pillars. All this involves is drilling the large hole for the switch plunger cylinder and a smaller adjacent hole for the retaining/earthing screw. The wiring runs from the terminal on both switches inside the door pillar, through the pillar apperture on the top of the footweel tops and across the front of the bulkhead.
It enters the dash though the main harness grommets, and just needs a pick-off to run up the windscreen and to the lights once the roof is installed. The rear door will also have a switch, and al three switches will be linked into ne earth circuit to activate lights in each roof section. I used purple wire with a black stripe, the same as on Defenders, for ease of identification.
