The front section is now in. It was quite unnerving cutting out the sunroof apperture, but it all fits. The front left corner was cut a little close to the edge of the sunroof’s rubber trim, but there is still a small overlap. The front light is fitted, and the RR Classic rear view mirror is connected to the electrical system to power the two map lights on its underside. The power cable for the mirror passes through a rubber grommet just behind the interior light. Unfortunately, the repair to an old tear in the rubber (visible in second photo) came apart again whilst pulling the rubber through the apperture; it’ll have to be glued again.
I have cut the holes in the rear section to fit the third interior light, stereo speakers and second row seat belt shoulder anchors, but was unable to cut the holes for the third row bels as the anchors have not yet arrived from the mail-order company. They have to be fitted first to get accurate dimensions to minimise the size of the holes in the lining.
The alpine light insert have been trial fitted for the purpose of the photos – the gaps around their edges will disappear when the inserts are properly bonded. ![]()

Hi
Please can you tell me the supplier for the roof lining and did you stick foam to hard top.
Thanks
Chris
Hi Chris.
The roof head lining is from LaSalle. It was all very easy to fit, except for marking out and cutting the Alpine Light appertures, which took several hours of careful measuring, cutting and then plenty of gradual adjustment.
I used a cheap roll of camping roll mat to insulate the roof a little and to prevent drumming of the GRP head lining against the aluminium. It was fixed with aerosol Evostick Impact Adhesive. It works very well.
I hope that helps!
