Oil Cooler/Fuel Piping

I didn’t get any paint stripping done today due to the weather, but I did get some fuel and oil lines made up.

I now have all the fuel feed lines (from each tank to the 2 taps, the inter-tap line, and the tap-lift pump line). I now just need to make up the return lines, but the valve unions are different to those on the feeds, and none of the fuel pipe specialists in Bedford have the correct fittings.

I also had the oil cooler pipes made up. The longer pipe with the 90 degree bend is the return line. The top end attaches to the top left corner of the oil cooler. The hose drops vertically through the redundant steering relay hole, and the brass fittings then take the pie out under the front x-member to be clipped along the x-member’s back edge and inside the rhs chassis rail to the oil filter housing. The shorter pipe has the oil-stat housing attached, which connects to the side of the filter housing, and runs all the way past the steering relay to the lower right side of the cooler. The steel section is genuine SIII oil cooler pipe for that location, but needed a little straightening to clear the timing cover. The hose is rated for 150 degrees celcius and 200bar, so should last well.

I have also gathered the required oil pressure guage sender and T-piece to fit in conjunction with the pressure warning switch.oil cooler pipingoil press senders
