I have just collected the front wings, grille panel and one vent flap from the painter. The second flap had suffered a run and is being redone. Apart from 4 or 5 dust flecks in one of the wings, they’re perfect. Those defects will polish out without much effort. The tub is being collected tomorrow, and should be painted by this time next week.
I’ll be collecting the driver’s side door frame from the blaster tomorrow. Apparently, there are a couple of holes in the web under the window apperture, but nothing that needs welding up. I’ll fit the new skin in the next week or two and send it for painting with the bonnet and seat base.
