Not much to report, really. The refurb will have to be delayed again due to a house move, but the car is generally running well. It’s still down on power and torque since the new injection pump was fitted, and I think it’s because the pump’s boost diaphragm or plunger is seized, preventing the pump from reacting to boost from the turbo charger. Still no time to fit the aircon system, but at least I now have all the parts except the one pipe, and that can be replicated by my local hydraulics specialist.
I have been trying to get the brake warning lights to behave. Since the calliper overhaul, the compressor has been taking longer to pressurise the accumulator, resulting in the red warning light staying illuminated for too long, thus causing the ABS/ETC system to fail its self-test on engine start. If the engine is stopped and restarted, the accumulator pressurises quickly and all the warning lights go out. This points either to a worn out compressor or air trapped in the system, and given the timing of the appearance of the issue, I’m going to re-bleed the entire system in the hope that the compressor is actually still alright.
