Tub jobs today.
I finished setting up the front end to take the bulkhead removal bar (all bolt holes, rivnuts etc), and trimmed the vertical posts of the bar to suit the SIII as opposed to Def structure.
I have redrilled the holes in the tub’s rear x-member to align perfectly with the chassis x-member’s tab holes, and have fitted the captive nut plates for the stainless bolt kit. I had all the stainless dome-headed torx bolts in while doing this, and it looked pretty smart.
I finished the locker lid (moved outboard to allow fitment of the forward facing Trakkers’ hinge on the wheel arch edge), complete with hinges and holes drilled for securing the reversing sensor ECU to the undeside of the lid. I also finished the fuel tank inspection panel.
The tub will come off tomorrow. Once I have fitted captive nuts in the floor for the seat belt buckles, it will be booked in for painting.
