Winscreen Fitted

I have completed the windcreen. The outside of the frame was tripped and repainted with matt black stone-chip resistant paint. The interior was originally going to be left in bare galv, but after cleaning it, the finish didn’t look very good, so it was etched and sprayed in satin black enamel.

The glass retaining strips were cleaned up but left unpainted. New stainles screws were used on the retainers to hold in the new tinted glass.

I fitted the Range Rover rear view mirror. The mounting foot needed a small amount of modification to fit, and a pilot hole had to be drilled in the screen frame for the securing screw, but the result is very secure.

The assy was then fitted with new hinges and fastenings throughout.
