The clutch pedal went soft and was only just useable by the time I got home today, so I’ll be going over its hydraulics tomorrow to find the leak. A quick check didn’t show anything, but I doubt it’s the master cylinder or its connections as the cylinder is new and there are no signs of dampness or fluid runs on the pedal or foot well. Once I find the fault, it’ll be a simple fix. I had hoped to fit a new DAB stereo and antenna tomorrow, but it’ll have to wait. I have a Mudstuff heater intake snow cowl on its way, but that’s a Christmas present from the kids, so I’ll have to wait to fit that.
As for the Range Rover, it’s booked in for the front diff next week; the noise when turning at full lock is unbearable and ominous and I think it’s the diff causing it. It needs swapping for the second hand unit I bought, regardless, as its pinion bearings are bad (the probably cause of the clanking at full lock as the viscous coupling puts it under strain).
