July Update

rear number platerea plate closefront plateI’ve been away on holiday with the family, so nothing has been done in the last week. I went to Billing, though, and have picked up most of the remaining parts. I got some good deals too, as can often be the case on the last afternoon of a show; the traders don’t like having to pack up their wares, take them back to their premesis and re-stock their shelves and inventories – they’d rather sell at cost or even a small loss. I came home with the following:

spacers set

  • Mantec snorkel (plastic type);
  • Steel wheel spacers;
  • 16″ 8-spoke wheel (second spare);
  • Black and silver numberplates with the tax exempt registration;
  • Seat belts for rows 2 and 3;
  • Cup holder for Exmoor Trim cubby box;
  • Military map light for facia;
  • Galvanised wheel chocks (two) with carrying brackets (to be fitted to roof rack);
  • A selection of ratchet straps, recovery strap and bow shackles.

wheel chocksI also bought a pack of ten genuine oil filters for £35, which is the cheapest way of getting them. Worth looking out for whenever you visit a show.
