Right. Got bored and started feeling guilty about having an easy day, so I finished off the last few nuts and bolts securing the wings and fitted the new fuel filter (still need to make up that other line and fit it where the redundant switch is standing in as a blanking plug to keep dirt and water out). The filter canister will be replaced before the engine is run. Incidentally, the purple and black wire visible in the photo is for the courtesy light switch in the door pillar (matched on the other side), colour coded in accordance with Defender wiring harnesses.
I used stainless dome head bolts and washers to secure the wing tops to the bulkhead to avoid rust and because the dome heads look neater. I also used neoprene tape on the bottom of the washers to prevent any possiblity of electrolytic corrosion with the panel should vibration break down the paint barrier.
