I’ll be returning to using Straight Veg Oil as soon as the vehicle is running again – the Tdi has done nearly 2,000 miles now, so is reasonably well run in. The price of diesel is getting terrible – £1.25 per liter is an average price this week, but UK fuel prices are going up 2-3% per week.
The cheapest I can find SVO at the moment is on-line at Tesco. It works out at 80p per litre, which is over 40% dearer than a year ago, but still over 35% cheaper than diesel. I bought 25 3litre bottles, which made the delivery truck driver pretty curious!
